From start to finish, we are here to answer your questions and make sure you are fully satisfied with your project. With daily updates accessible from our mobile app, you’ll always be up to date on the progress of your project. This is your home and we are sensitive to that. We work as guests and our project is treated as a gift for you. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve your family.

First We Talk

Before the work begins, we’ll visit your home, discuss your goals for the project and get a sense for what you’d like the end result to be. We’ll snap a few photos for reference and then begin working on sketches (as necessary), material costs, and a full estimate.

During this phase, if it applies, we’ll send you to one of our vendors to pick out materials and choose finishes. If it involves cabinets, we’ll have you schedule a meeting with our cabinet designer to work on the official layout of your cabinetry. Once you have chosen the finishes and materials you desire, our vendors will contact us and let us know what you have chosen. We will then add their estimate to ours and forward that on to you as part of the full project.

Our estimates are built to remove surprises. If material costs go above what we agreed upon, we eat those costs. If they’re significantly below the number we give you on the estimate, we’ll reduce the final bill to reflect accordingly. We do not mark up the cost of materials.

Final Estimate and Contract

After we present our estimate to you, we’ll talk again about the scope of the work. We’ll make any adjustments we need to make so you’re comfortable with the project we agree upon. When you’re satisfied and we both understand what all is to be done, then you can sign the contract, pay the first 50% deposit, and we’ll put you on our schedule.

Often, you can pull equity from your home to finance your project either in a home equity loan or by refinancing. We also aren’t the most expensive company in the area for a reason. We try our best to keep your costs low. We are also good at being creative to get you that contemporary design for a fraction of the cost. Contact us now and let’s go over your options together.

During the Project

While we’re working, we’ll provide photos and a log of the work we complete each day. You can find this by logging into our complimentary app to track our progress. We will also touch base with you 1-2 times each week to update you on our work.

If something unexpected comes up, we’ll notify you immediately if it’s a concern and talk options at that point. Often, things come up that we have no way of knowing about until we get deep into the work. We expect them in remodels, but sometimes they can be surprising. We’ll do our best to fix these properly at our cost, but sometimes major repairs are needed in order for us to complete high quality work. We’ll talk about it together, what the added cost may be and what your options are. Our goal is for our work not to annoy remodelers in the future. We’ve seen our share of annoyances! This way, if you ever update your home again in 10-15 years down the road, the new remodelers won’t have to fix any of our work because we’ve done it right.

Finishing Up

When we near project completion, we’ll let you know. We’ll invite you in to see the project so we can go over it and make sure it’s exactly the way you intended it to be when we first discussed it. If everything passes your inspection, we’ll wrap up, clean up, and leave you to enjoy your new space.

Within a week or so, we’ll take a look at the final cost of the project and send you the final invoice for the remaining balance of the cost or less if material estimates came out lower than expected.
